Lennon & Brunskill Commit Future to DAFC as Duo Extend Contracts at KDM Group East End Park

Dunfermline Athletic have secured stability in the dugout after manager Neil Lennon and assistant manager Iain Brunskill signed new two-year contracts last Friday, the 31st July 2026, extending their stay at KDM Group East End Park.

The deals, announced on the eve of the new Championship term beginning last weekend away to Inverness, recognise the “outstanding progress" made under Neil`s and Iain`s leadership since arriving at the Club in March 2025.

Lennon and Brunskill were brought in to steer the Pars away from relegation danger in the closing months of 2024/25. Since then, they’ve transformed the side into one “capable of competing at the top end of the Championship”.

Key achievements in their first full season together includes:

-- Reaching the Scottish Cup Final: took DAFC to their first Scottish Cup Final in 19 years
-- Promotion Play-Offs: ended the league campaign with a superb run of form to secure a place in the Promotion Play-Offs
-- Squad Building: continues to oversee the development of young players coming through the ranks at the Club, whilst integrating a number of new additions into the squad from other Clubs / overseas

Lennon praised his working working relationship with those within the Boardroom and his Backroom Staff:
"We`ve got a great understanding. We`ve got great experience, and we [Neil and Iain Brunskill] dovetail very well. He`s an excellent coach and organiser... We think it`s a really good fit for us, and we work very well together.”

Brunskill, who hasn’t been with Lennon for his entire managerial career, spoke of settling in Fife:
"I live in the City. I`m really enjoying my time... It`s a really supportive Club, everyone pulling in the right direction. The fans have been great with me.”

CEO David Cook said the Board are “delighted that Neil and Iain have committed their futures”, adding their “leadership, experience and the standards they demand have helped drive the Club forward”.
