My Favourite Pars Matches
Date: Wednesday, 18th Jun 2025Good times to be a Pars fan, by RH
Earliest memory of the Pars is being told I had a brick with my name on it at a mythical place called East End Park - instantly written into Pars history I thought I’d be destined to play for the Pars (then transfer and become Liverpool captain).
Sol Bamba became a family favourite after a trip to East End and i’ve always kept tabs on his progress. Paris to the Pars! RIP Sol! One the home of fashion, culture and food, the other is a wee town in France!
Pars Cup Final in 2004 was a real formative football experience - Hampden felt gigantic and the noise was amazing. Quick check on wiki and see that our new manager was playing for Celtic on the day - funny how it works out.
Sammy the Tammy gunning down the Raith fans at East End, a funny highlight. My knowledge of and attendance for this moment has endeared me to my Scottish pals I play football with here in London.
As the son of a Scotsman it would be remiss of me to leave out when we won the East Fife lottery! And the pleasure of seeing Pars beat Borehamwood.
