Highlights from interviews given by Jim Leishman, Allan McGregor and Tony Mowbray after the Hibs game.

Jim Leishman
Jim feels the first half was fairly even but is disappointed in the way they lost the first goal in the second half. He has no complaints about the sending off of Zambernardi but is somewhat annoyed at the player, citing that he can’t afford to have fit players in the stand. He again praises his team for working hard, especially when down to ten men and is glad they created a few chances and even score. However, once again he is aware that there is no points taken from another home fixture. Jim goes on to talk about his new 2-year contract, which he says was made in order to stop negative speculation. He stresses that he is not making excuses and that the whole thing is not about Jim Leishman but about the club and the players who are in a transition period. Scott Wilson has a pelvic problem, which will keep him out until the 19th of November.

Alan Mcgregor
Alan is extremely annoyed at himself for the second goal and feels that he should have done better but admits it could be just him. Although the side lost Alan maintains that he enjoyed himself and feels that the team done better today that what has gone previously. He is enjoying the action he is getting at Dunfermline as opposed to his place at Rangers and he feels he is taking a step forward in his career. Talking of Ivan Sproule’s deliberate handball in front of goal Alan is angry at the player for trying to cheat his way to a goal and explains how he gave the Irish man an earful. He believes that it is fundamental for the club to keep the spirits up in order to try and improve the league standings and he seems confident that it is easy to do.

Tony Mowbray
For some reason, best known to himself, Mowbray is disappointed and frustrated with his sides performance. He explains how ‘down’ his players are after a 2-1 away win in poor conditions and tries to justify this by talking of the standards the club has set for itself. He believes that his side were guilty of going forward too quickly, not to mention trying to score at every opportunity, a real disgrace I think you will all agree. Looking onto the Edinburgh derby he speaks of the confidence within Hibs and how they desperately want to be the team to end the Jambo’s unbeaten run.
